Doshi Levien

These guys seem to be everywhere at the moment – this is the silliest sofa I’ve seen in a long time, which is probably why I love it (the name may have something to do with this as well).  Doshi Levien are a duo based in London, their hybrid exchanges of culture, ornamentation and slick industrial craftsmanship is worth checking out.  Make sure you check out their beautiful concept drawings.

Guilo Cappellini

Corporate Culture has invited design students to attend a talk by Italian furniture guro Guilo Cappellini at their renovated showroom next Wednesday morning. The are only a few places available so if you’re interested send me an email asap. Guilo is a wonderful speaker and it’s an exciting opportunity to have the work of this still classic but always innovative, international furniture company presented by the man himself.

You should check out Corporate Culture at

Or better yet take a lunchtime walk to their showroom in Chippendale and see the work for yourself.
